Degree Apprenticeship Program

Study and work simultaneously with our Degree Apprenticeship and kickstart an exciting career with us.

Built for those just starting out

Don’t wait until you graduate to gain experience

Our degree apprenticeships are carried out in partnership with the University of Exeter, a distinguished member of the UK’s Russell Group universities. As an apprentice, a set amount of time within your working hours will be dedicated to an element of learning. As a registered student with the University of Exeter, you will have full access to the university’s academic resources.

UBS offers numerous apprenticeship pathways, including two degree apprenticeships; a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Applied Finance or Digital & Technology Solutions Degree. These are great choices if you are new to the financial services industry. You will gain a number of recognized qualifications throughout both programs and be awarded your degree at the end of your fourth year.

How you will develop

What will you get out of it?

Your development is at the heart of our program and we ensure that you get a mixture of formal learning and professional experience. You’ll be able to dedicate an agreed number of your working hours to an element of learning, such as university studies or internal UBS training.

As part of the degree apprenticeship, you’ll take part in academic masterclasses, lectures and will apply your learning in the workplace.

Aside from the experience you’ll gain in your role, we believe additional opportunities to grow should be open to everyone. This can be through job shadowing, a carefully designed curriculum or through other internal training offerings. We care about your development.

What support will you receive?

You will have a line manager who will guide you through your role and support you as you study. In addition, your degree apprenticeship is supported by senior business sponsors, an HR program manager and an academic coach at the university (University of Exeter) who will assist with your training and ensure you are getting the most out of your program.

You will get the chance to experience our dynamic work culture firsthand. You’ll be part of our day-to-day operations, get the chance to network with industry leaders, and attend speaker sessions and events to learn more about the industry. We will also aim to assign an experienced colleague to you as a career mentor, as you transition and progress into the workplace.
