School students
Banking apprenticeship (commercial apprenticeship)
Our 3-year commercial apprenticeship will give you diverse learning experiences, whether it’s in Retail or Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Human Resources, Operations, Remote Sales or Client Solutions.
ICT apprenticeships
Pick from application or platform development, mediamatics or digital business development. These 4-year apprenticeships let you train on campus in Zurich or Manno (TI).
High school students
BEM bank entry for high school grads
Become a banking expert in 18-months. Focus on core business or specialized areas and get a solid education with valuable practical experience.
IT-way-up
Looking to start a career in IT? This 2-year program will get you programming. Take on challenges and create solutions with the latest tech.
Events and taster days
Connect with us directly at one of our in-person or virtual events. In some regions, you can even join a taster day to see what it’s like to do an apprenticeship at UBS.
1. Submit your materials
To get started, apply online with the following documents:
- Resume (CV)
- Cover letter
- Copies of the last two years' school reports (canton of Bern: learning reports of the last two years)
- For application/platform developer: Multicheck ICT
- If available: employment references, learning reports, diplomas, typing certificate, etc.

2. Application review
We check your documents for completeness and whether you’ve met our minimum requirements. We're looking for people with a high willingness to learn, a positive attitude and an interest in the financial industry.
If we think you’re a good fit, we'll invite you for a personal interview.
3. Personal interview
How do you prepare for the interview? Start by researching the program, and UBS in general. Be sure to take notes and write down any questions you have. We’re more than happy to answer them.
Think about what you want to share about yourself and what kinds of questions we might ask. Why UBS, what are your strengths, what do you want to work on, etc. Even how others might describe you. No need to overthink it. As long as you’re prepared, we should have a great conversation.
Some tips from us
Greeting your interview partner by name and making eye contact is a great way to make a good first impression. Keep in mind that there are no right or wrong answers. Just be yourself. And don’t forget to ask questions. It lets us know that you’re curious and interested.
