      Grow your skills

What’s the big idea behind our ICT apprenticeships? You’ll get your basic training at our UBS Training Center to get you to a professional level with a deep knowledge of the tech field. Along with on-the-job experience, you’ll also get to attend our vocational school (with or without vocational baccalaureate) 1-2 days a week to earn your Swiss Certificate of Competence (EFZ).

      Our apprenticeships

      Application developer (Zurich, Ticino)

Keep our online presences in sync with the latest web technologies. You’ll be designing and programming web apps and developing and testing software.

      Mediamatician (Zurich)

This is where comms, creativity and strategy overlap. You’ll help produce and design digital and analogue media, define our marketing measures and social channels, and activate the latest web tech on our sites.

      Platform developer (Zurich, Ticino)

Security, systems and cloud solutions. You’ll help keep all our data locked down, crafting the measures that keep us safe and defended, while implementing virtualization.

      Digital business developer (Zurich)

Here, it’s all about optimization. Analyzing our ICT products and processes, aligning our data and results, and creating new solutions with other specialists (and our customers).

      How to apply

To get started, apply online with the following documents:

      • Resume (CV)
      • Cover letter
      • Copies of the last two years' school reports (canton of Bern: learning reports of the last two years)
      • For application/platform developer: Multicheck ICT
      • If available: employment references, learning reports, diplomas, typing certificate, etc.

Everyone is welcome at UBS. And we’re committed to disability inclusion and making sure our application process is accessible for everyone. If you need reasonable accommodation/adjustments throughout our recruitment process, you can always contact us.

We check your documents for completeness and whether you’ve met our minimum requirements. We're looking for people with a high willingness to learn, a positive attitude and an interest in the financial industry.

If we think you’re a good fit, we'll invite you for a personal interview.

How do you prepare for the interview? Start by researching the program, and UBS in general. Be sure to take notes and write down any questions you have. We’re more than happy to answer them.

Think about what you want to share about yourself and what kinds of questions we might ask. Why UBS, what are your strengths, what do you want to work on, etc. Even how others might describe you. No need to overthink it. As long as you’re prepared, we should have a great conversation.

      Some tips from us

Greeting your interview partner by name and making eye contact is a great way to make a good first impression. Keep in mind that there are no right or wrong answers. Just be yourself. And don’t forget to ask questions. It lets us know that you’re curious and interested.

If you've persuaded us, we're happy to welcome you to UBS!
