What is the UBS Australia Cadetship Program?
For nearly two decades, UBS in Australia has offered university students an exciting opportunity to fast-track their careers. As a Cadet, you'll combine your university studies with hands-on experience at UBS, gaining invaluable work experience. You'll have numerous opportunities to develop new skills and connect with a vast network of experienced professionals both in Australia and globally.
Our Cadetship positions are available in Sydney and Melbourne. During your first two years of study, you will typically work full-time. After that, you may have the option to work part-time while continuing your studies full-time, depending on your role.

We operate through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management and the Investment Bank – supported by our Group Functions division (which includes functions such as IT, Finance, Operations, Legal and Compliance). Who are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who are curious, hard-working, and want to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome applications from all Year 12 students who are Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents. We support diverse cultures, perspectives, skills, and experiences within our workforce and encourage students from all schools to apply. It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. But we’d like to see evidence that you:
- Show an interest in Banking and Financial Services
- Maintain consistent academic effort and achievement at school
- Are predicted to achieve an ATAR of 85+
- Have the ability to analyze a problem, take a view, and come to a decision
- Communicate confidently
- Demonstrate drive and resilience
- Are a team player
- Have work experience (paid or unpaid)
- Demonstrate accountability and integrity

- Signed reference letter from your career advisor, year coordinator, or principal, including your predicted ATAR
- Year 11 end-of-year academic results

How to submit
- Combine all required information into one file and upload it in the "Resume/CV Upload" section of the application
- In the "High School Education" section of the application, you don’t need to fill in the details. Simply choose "1" in the first dropdown, select "Other" in "Examination 1," and write "n/a" in all other fields

Apply early as spots are limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. While we will consider your preferred area of interest, we cannot guarantee placement in that area. This helps us with guidance, but we may assign you to another area based on availability and fit.
