Hong Kong, May 27, 2024 – The UBS Asian Investment Conference (AIC) kicks off today in Hong Kong, welcoming more than 3,000 attendees for a week-long event that will explore the future with an eye on the past.

Expected attendees include over 2,000 senior representatives from across the global institutional, sovereign, family office and private investor community, who will connect with top executives and entrepreneurs from 300 of the most dynamic private and public companies across 15 markets in Asia Pacific, Europe and the US. The strength of this interest will make the AIC UBS’s biggest investor conference globally and build on the 27-year legacy of Asia’s leading investment forum.

Under the theme of “An eye on the past, a view to the future,” the 2024 AIC will bring together leaders and experts from a wide range of fields to ask what can be learned from the past about the outlook for inflation, growth, economic policy, supply chains and geopolitics. With a view to the future during an unprecedented intergenerational wealth transfer, the conference will also
focus on emerging opportunities in Generative AI, neurotechnology, mobility and new energy, while also asking what it will take for cities to thrive in the decades ahead.

Edmund Koh, President of Asia Pacific, UBS AG, said: “We are excited to host the 27th Asian Investment Conference and build on its proud tradition as Asia’s leading gathering of policymakers, experts, companies and investors. The breadth of insights at this year’s event will shed new light on what we can learn from the past as well as what we can expect from the future. As we ask the big questions about the structural trends that are shaping investment opportunities in Asia and beyond, this promises to be an exceptional learning and networking experience for our clients.”

“Connecting local wisdom with global capabilities is at the heart of what we do at UBS. We look forward to hosting our clients and speakers over the next few days as we navigate the future with an eye on the past,” Mr Koh added.
