Marco de Moraes

CEO, Doris

Marcos de Moraes, the owner of Doris, has an outstanding track record as a serial entrepreneur. In 1996, he started a company called Zip.Net, the first Brazilian free e-mail provider at a time when access to the internet still had to be paid for. The concept was that advertisement would be the source of revenues to the business (a commonly known strategy today, but at the time this was an innovative concept). In less than six months, they already had 1 million users. In 2000, he sold the business to Portugal Telecom. In 2004 Marcos founded a very well known cachaça company called Sagatiba, that ended up being sold to Campari in 2010. At present day, Marcos is focused on Doris, a virtual fitting room company that uses AI to provide a wide range of functionalities for clients looking to purchase apparel from the internet, thus increasing conversion rates and reducing reverse logistics costs. The company is undergoing a fast paced expansion and has raised interest among many investors focused on the fashion and AI industries.
