As part of UBS’s innovative business model, WWS partners with UBS Advisors to acquire and manage retirement plan sponsor clients. We help ensure that fiduciary obligations owed to a plan as a financial advisor are met, whether or not the particular Advisor has specialized retirement plan accreditation.
WWS collaborates with corporate clients to deliver customized solutions for programs such as financial wellness, retirement, equity plans and institutional consulting. Offering business-to-business as well as business-to-client services, WWS is one of the largest sources of wealth management referrals at UBS today.

A rewarding collaboration
This is what a recently joined UBS Financial Advisor from our NYC office discovered when he recently joined UBS and inherited a $25 million retirement plan client from a retiring colleague. While Sanders had a wealth of experience in other areas of financial advising, he was new to retirement plan solutions and didn’t want to risk losing this client—so he reached out to our Retirement Plan Services (RPS) team.
Together with the RPS Sales and Service team—an in-house support team part of our broader Workplace Wealth Solutions group—the Advisor was able to retain the client by reducing costs and providing a greater range of plan investments. “Due to the level of service, I was able to retain the account without needing to be individually accredited in retirement solutions,” he explains. ”This team handles the day-to-day plan servicing and I share in the revenue. Our Workplace Wealth Solutions team positions UBS Advisors to acquire and maintain retirement plan sponsor business accounts. The RPS Sales & Service team acts as your built-in partner, offering as many or as few resources as you need while setting up and managing your client’s retirement plan.
Together, we work with you to offer investment fiduciary services tailored to your client’s specific needs, whether that’s simply consulting services or custom discretionary and non-discretionary advisory programs.
