UBS Wealth Management in Brazil

Our history in Brazil begins in 1953, with the opening of the first UBS office in São Paulo. A few years later, in 1959, Credit Suisse also arrived in the country, opening its first office in Rio de Janeiro.

The two brands then have acquired several local banks and brokerages, such as Banco Omega and Consenso by UBS and Banco Garantia and Hedging-Griffo by Credit Suisse. Finally, in 2023, UBS acquired Credit Suisse, becoming the largest bank specialized in Wealth Management in Latin America and AuM of more than US$ 1.6 trillion worldwide¹.

The result of this unique combination in Brazil is a long history of success in Wealth Planning, Wealth Management, Asset Management and Investment Banking, individualized solutions for each client and strong capitalization.

Today, we have more than 1,200 employees distributed between São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Recife.
