Who qualifies?
If you are motivated to make a complete career shift into banking, if you are an entrepreneur and want to (re)shape your career, or if you are ready to upgrade to a client-facing role – we have the tools to get you started. Our 18-24 month program is the best starting point. We’re hiring talented people who want to build long-term careers here. So, if you have strong communication skills and a talent for building relationships, our program will give you the opportunity to thrive.
We are looking for at least one of the following:
- You’ve completed a commercial education
- You have a secondary school diploma with a focus on economics
- You have previous customer advisory experience in a similar field (e. g. insurance), service field (e. g. telecom, tourism) or in education (e. g. teacher)
Where can you join?
You can join our Personal Banking division anywhere, whether it’s in one of our 190 branches across Switzerland, Remote Sales & Advice or Client Solutions Switzerland. If you’re an experienced professional who meets the criteria above, our Career Change Program can help you get acclimatized, connected and up to speed quickly.
Take a look at our three areas of Personal Banking to discover which one fits you best:
Private Client Advisory
- You advise clients on topics such as pensions and investments, while developing your own knowledge
- You showcase our digital banking capabilities, guiding clients through e-banking processes, mobile banking and TWINT
- You proactively engage with clients and are committed to growing our customer base
Remote Sales & Advice (RSA)
- You channel your passion for investment and pension, mortgages or client coverage into a specialist role
- You are professional and confident in conducting video consultations – these will be your go-to communication method with High Net Worth clients
- You proactively develop your product knowledge and apply your strong sales skills
- You’ll be working in an agile team with flat hierarchies
Client Solutions Switzerland (CSS)
- You’re the go-to contact for clients online and over the phone for support with a wide range of queries – from daily banking transactions to digital solutions
- You’ll join a dynamic team with ongoing learning and development opportunities
- You can easily combine studying with your banking career – we offer flexibility around working hours and working from home
- You will utilize your language skills and serve clients around the clock in shifts – with added compensation for working special hours

I completed an apprenticeship in the retail sector, but over time I developed an interest in banking and decided to make a career change. I joined UBS and completed a series of training programs and certifications, as well as coaching sessions.
