All UBS Credit and Prepaid Cards for both private and corporate clients are supported. However, the virtual credit card cannot be linked with SwatchPay, because this card does not currently have a PIN.
Paying with your smartwatch is just as easy as contactless payments with your credit card. Activate the payment function on your smartwatch, and hold your watch up to a payment terminal that works for contactless payments.
You must reenter your 4-digit PIN to be able to pay if more than 24 hours have passed since your last PIN confirmation on your smartwatch, or if you have taken your smartwatch off in the meantime.
When you pay with a watch that supports Swatch Pay, you enter the PIN code directly at the point of sale, just like a credit card. Temporarily no PIN code is required for amounts under CHF 80.
Smartwatches protect your credit card and prepaid card with a 4-digit PIN. During registration, you as the user decide what the PIN will be. The PIN is different from the PIN of your card. For security reasons, you must reenter your PIN every 24 hours or after taking off your smartwatch. You can make payments of more than CHF 80 without having to enter your card's PIN at the payment terminal.

As paying with your Smartwatch is technically a payment with your credit or prepaid card, you can use it to pay at points of sale around the world that accept Mastercard and Visa with NFC technology.
No, the token that is stored on your smartwatch can only be used for payments at checkouts with contactless NFC payment terminals.
Yes, you can save your credit card or prepaid card on up to nine smartwatches, and you can switch devices. You can also remove saved credit cards or prepaid cards from your smartwatch at any time. In addition, it is also possible to save several credit cards or prepaid cards. However, the card that is designated as the default is the only one that is activated on your smartwatch. You can define your default card using the app of your smartwatch manufacturer.

Security
Security
If your smartwatch is lost or stolen, please immediately delete your UBS Credit Card or Prepaid Card in the manufacturer's app. This does not block your physical card, and you can continue to use it. If you suspect that your card is being misused, please contact our Customer Service (+41 44 828 39 61).
Your credit card or prepaid card must be deleted in the manufacturer's app of your smartwatch on your smartphone. Your physical UBS Credit Card or Prepaid Card will continue to remain functional.

Further Information
The payment function is based on tokenization technology. When the UBS Credit Card or Prepaid Card is registered, a token is generated (comparable to an alias for the 16-digit credit card number). This token is then stored on your smartwatch on a specially secured chip. For payments at card terminals, the token is assigned to the 16-digit credit card number in the background by credit card networks (Mastercard & Visa). The payments are then processed using the existing credit card networks, and the assigned, physical credit card or prepaid card is charged. The payments appear on your monthly statement like other credit card transactions from the same credit card or prepaid card.
The payment service is exclusively provided to you by smartwatch manufacturers or the providers of the smartwatch payment solution. They are also responsible for the availability of the payment service as well as technical support. UBS's service is limited to enabling you to save your UBS Credit Card or Prepaid Card for your specific payment service.
Our Customer Service will be glad to answer questions about the UBS Credit Card or Prepaid Card saved on your smartwatch. You can find the telephone number on this page.
