Every evening from 5:30 p.m., hundreds of people line up between train tracks and a hotel in Zurich's Langstrasse district. Some commuters who take the train home and look out of the window ask themselves: "What's going on here?"

The answer: People are queuing up to provide themselves with a hot dinner and food. Every day, the Incontro association distributes up to 400 meals and fruits, vegetables, meat and other food products, as well as some hygiene articles. For a few hours, a "canteen" is created in the open air. Most of the food comes from shops, bakeries and restaurants.
