Stay updated on the integration of Credit Suisse.

The legal merger between Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and UBS Switzerland AG was completed on 1 July 2024. This in itself will not change the day-to-day banking relationship for Credit Suisse clients. We will start the transfer of current Credit Suisse client relationships and products to the UBS systems in 2025. We will provide ongoing and transparent information on the next steps in the integration.

Legal merger between Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and UBS Switzerland AG

1 July 2024

The legal merger between Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and UBS Switzerland AG was completed on 1 July 2024. From a legal perspective, this means that UBS Switzerland AG is now the contracting party for Credit Suisse clients, not Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd.

The legal merger forms the basis for the migration of client relationships. The transfer of Credit Suisse client relationships and products to the UBS systems is planned for 2025. As some client relationships are more complex than others, we will be carrying out the client migration in Switzerland in multiple waves.

Our planning and approach are guided by one overarching goal: to make the transition as smooth as possible for clients. The majority of Credit Suisse clients currently do not need to do anything. We will continue to communicate everything transparently and in good time.

We are deeply aware of our responsibility toward our clients, but also toward Switzerland as a business and financial center, and are aligning our actions accordingly. We consider ourselves as a strong partner both for our private clients and for the Swiss corporate landscape.

For example, we provide services and advice to around 200,000 small and medium-sized companies and support around 1,000 pension funds in building wealth. We are happy to assist proud grandparents in opening a savings account for their grandchild, but we also provide export financing expertise to over 8,000 corporate clients. And, as part of our voluntary engagement in Switzerland, we support educational and cultural institutions and, among other things, promote sports for children through the UBS Kids Cup as well as high-performance sports.

We are looking forward to embarking on this exciting journey with all our clients and would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in us.
