Head Region West Germany: Andreas Bretschneider
Andreas Bretschneider joined UBS in 2004 and has been working in Wealth Management since the late nineties. He successfully contributed his initial experience with the traditional Swiss bank to the reestablishment of the Cologne branch, which was merged with other branches in Düsseldorf under his leadership in 2016. In the course of his career, his main focus has been on advising private clients, foundations and entrepreneurs from all over Germany with a focus on the Rhineland - he is supported by a large team of client advisors.
In his spare time, Bretschneider is involved as a board member of a foundation for disadvantaged children, serves on the advisory board of a foundation for assistance to the elderly, and is a passionate member of the Lions Club.
The UBS branch in Dusseldorf was opened in 1997 and merged with the Cologne and Bielefeld branches in 2016. On site in Dusseldorf, the team around Andreas Bretschneider is responsible for wealthy and demanding private clients/families as well as companies or foundations and currently advises them with 15 advisors - in the region, all of North Rhine-Westphalia and southern Lower Saxony.
