Ken-Ichi Hino is part of the Energy Storage team in the Infrastructure business within Real Estate & Private Markets, UBS Asset Management.
He is responsible for originating investments, project commercialization, and financial optimization.
Prior to joining UBS, he spent three years as the Director of Energy Storage for National Grid Renewables, the renewable energy project development arm of a diversified multinational utility.
From 2014 to 2018, Ken-Ichi was a strategy consultant with Enovation Partners, advising utilities, investors, and independent power producers on energy transition opportunities including energy storage, distributed energy resources, electrification, and corporate venture investing.
Prior to this, he advised energy storage software and hardware startups on growth and financing strategy. Ken-Ichi was also a finance associate with Recycled Energy Development, a private equity-backed Combined Heat and Power and biomass project developer and owner/operator. He began his career advising financial services institutions with the Mitchell Madison Group.
