Starting my career at UBS after graduating from Tsinghua University in 2004 was a leap into the unknown, but it quickly became an incredible adventure. As a graduate trainee in the Beijing office, I was immersed in various sectors and products, which set a strong foundation for my future. Thanks to our internal mobility program, I soon found myself in Hong Kong with the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), working on high-profile transactions and witnessing China's financial sector's dynamic evolution.
In 2017, I rejoined the China team, broadening my focus to emerging sectors. By January 2020, I was leading onshore and offshore business in China, navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, as the Asia Vice Chairman of Global Banking since May 2024, I'm more excited than ever about the future.
Investment banking's dynamic and ever-changing nature hooked me. The blend of finance, strategy, and the real-world impact of our deals is fascinating.
