Celebrating Art and Community at the UBS Art Studio
Join Mit Jai Inn and Art Outreach at ART SG
Celebrated Thai artist Mit Jai Inn invites us to reconnect with the fundamental inspirations of art – “to share, to hear the energy together.”

His newly commissioned artworks, presented by the UBS Art Collection at ART SG 2025, transformed the UBS Art Studio into a public art platform accessible to all. A visual feast of rich colors and inviting textures drew viewers to engage with their surroundings. Mit believes that art has the power to inspire change, and his interactive installations foster a deeper connection to art through the immersive experience of feeling the artworks.
We have to go back to the caves 10,000 years ago. I was fascinated by all the markings, when humans started touching things.
Complementing Mit’s stunning presentation is a remarkable 60-metre-long tapestry. This collaborative art piece highlights the strength of community, creativity, and sustainability. Crafted from upcycled textiles, it commemorates Singapore’s 60 years of independence (SG60) and marks the launch of UBS’s inaugural “Art for All” community art campaign, a year-long initiative that aims to make art accessible to everyone while fostering dialogue and creativity. .
To realize this campaign, UBS partnered with Art Outreach, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting art appreciation in Singapore.
Dina Nerina, Community Programs Manager at Art Outreach shares her thoughts on this meaningful project:
Art Outreach is honored to partner with UBS. Seeing people of all ages enthusiastically engaged in the craft of weaving has been truly inspiring.
ART SG fairgoers were invited to participate in this initiative through hands-on weaving activities at the Sustainable Weaving Studio located within the UBS Art Studio. The collaboration extended far beyond the fair, with more than 150 UBS employees rolling up their sleeves to bring this tapestry to life, through workshops that included everything from fabric packing to weaving.
The tapestry now proudly finds its home at UBS’s Singapore office at 9 Penang Road, continuing to celebrate the creative efforts of the community as part of SG60.
The dual presentation underscores UBS’s commitment to sustainability and social impact through art. Through these initiatives, the UBS Art Studio exemplifies the power of art to unite and spark joy, showing that everyone can contribute to society through creative reimagining and positive social change.
