On your marks, get set, go: find out everything you need to know about the UBS Kids Cup and the bib number contest.

UBS Kids Cup: a success story

Each year, the UBS Kids Cup brings together around 170,000 children and young people from all over the country: at the numerous events that make up the biggest project for young talent in Swiss sports, the kids compete in various track-and-field disciplines. UBS has been supporting this success story as a sponsor since 2011. The participants aged seven to fifteen can take part both in the summer months and in the winter: in summer at the UBS Kids Cup and in winter at the UBS Kids Cup Team indoor competition.

UBS Kids Cup Team: winning together

During the summer, the UBS Kids Cup gets youngsters outdoors, where the focus is on the long jump, ball throw and 60-meter sprint disciplines. The young athletes compete in local knockout rounds to reach the cantonal finals, with the best qualifying for the Swiss final in Zurich’s Letzigrund stadium, where they can feel like major stars of track and field for a day.

In winter, the UBS Kids Cup Team events provide fun meets indoors: the teams compete in the four disciplines of sprinting, jumping, biathlon and team cross. The winning teams take part in the regional finals in the hope of qualifying for the Swiss final, which is held at a different location in Switzerland every year.
