Professional History
Barry Hurewitz is Global Head of Evidence Lab Innovations. He is the founder of UBS Evidence Lab, one of the largest and most experienced primary research teams in the world. Evidence Lab integrates analysis from over 45 distinct practice areas to power 3,000 UBS Research Reports per year and provides thousands of data assets to UBS professionals and clients through its subscription service. UBS Evidence Lab was ranked #1 by Greenwich Associates for Alternative Data and is a recognized and respected alternative data brand.
Mr. Hurewitz also leads a digital marketing and sales team that develops platforms and analytical marketing solutions to improve client engagement and salesforce effectiveness throughout the UBS. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hurewitz served as the Global COO for UBS Investment Research. During Mr. Hurewitz's tenure, UBS Research was voted the top global equity research provider in the world by Institutional Investor magazine. Over 700 UBS professionals cover over 3,000 stocks in markets throughout the world.
Before joining UBS, Mr. Hurewitz was the Global COO of Investment Research at Morgan Stanley from 2000 through 2013, where he founded Morgan Stanley’s primary research practice, AlphaWise. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Hurewitz served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of CNN/Money and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Hurewitz earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1995 where he graduated with highest distinction and as a Baker Scholar.

Within this role, he looks to drive innovation through collaborative partnerships with VCs, start-up communities, Academia and enterprise-level technology firms. James has worked in various roles across 3 major continents and for numerous different Financial Services Firms.

Deepak Chandani is Group CTO India and Head of ISE Global QA function and currently lives in Pune India He lived in bay area for over 2 decades working in Apple, Appdirect and building few startups. He has built High Growth products and solutions including iTunes and Appstore data platforms for Apple.

Managing Director, Department Manager for Distributed Systems Services
The department is responsible for distributed systems hardware and software engineering, integration and architecture and the cost recover of the Services offered. In this role he ensures that all of the storage devices, operating systems, virtualization frameworks and middleware tools associated with distributed servers are integrated and certified for use in the UBS global distributed systems environment as well as the data bases used on those systems.
Prior to his current role, Clyde was a managing director in UBS Wealth Management and Business Banking's Unix IT systems in Development Workbench and Integration Department. He was responsible for the introduction and execution of server virtualization programs in the UNIX and Wintel server estates. Clyde joined UBS in 1988
Clyde Dawson received his bachelor's degree in Biology in 1983 from Wabash College in Indiana and his master's degree in Bio-computing in 1986 from the University of Notre Dame.

Managing Director, Head of UHNW & Capital Markets Solutions
Stewart is a Managing Director and Head of UHNW & Capital Markets Solutions in UBS Markets Americas. In this role, Stewart is responsible for developing a comprehensive product offering specifically for the UHNW client segment. As part of this effort, Stewart overseas the UBS WM US Equity & Debt Syndicate team and which offers clients access to unique public debt and equity offerings in partnership with UBS Investment Bank (IB). Stewart is also on the Private Markets OneBank Partnership Executive Committee which was established to build-out UBS Americas Private Markets offering which includes direct debt and equity investments into unique private companies.
Prior to joining Markets America, Stewart was Head of Global Family Office, Americas (GFO) at UBS. In this capacity, Stewart was responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of advice and solutions for Single and Multi-Family Offices and family-owned businesses throughout the Americas. These solutions included products and services from across UBS. Stewart continues to act as senior sponsor on a number of key accounts
In addition to his role within GFO, Stewart was Head of the Business Development Group (BDG), responsible for coordinating cross-divisional activity in the Americas Region. His primary focus was the evaluation of corporate finance opportunities for UBS IB that originated from UBS Wealth Management including M&A and capital markets transactions for public and private companies. Stewart joined the Business Development Group in May 2008 as part of the group’s reorganization
Stewart was previously an Executive Director in UBS Investment Bank’s Equity Capital Markets Group, where he was focused on private financings for late-stage private and small-cap public companies. Stewart was a founding member of this effort and helped UBS raise $40bn+ of private capital for 250+ issuers
Prior to joining UBS in March of 2000, Stewart worked in the New York-based investment banking divisions of Oppenheimer & Co. and later CIBC World Markets in their Consumer Products Group, where he focused on M&A and restructuring as well as public debt and equity financings
Stewart holds a BA in Organizational Behavior & Management from Brown University and lives in Greenwich, CT with his wife and three children.

Head of Digital Engagement, Chief Digital Office
Veronica has over 20 years experience in Digital Innovation in various industries. She joined UBS 6 years ago as Head of Multichannel Strategy in UBS Switzerland, and became CTO Head of Innovation in 2015. She built up the Group Innovation activities, including our AI and Blockchain related innovation programs. Last year the Innovation and R&D teams formed the new Chief Digital Office (CDO). Recent activities of CDO include the UBS Hackathon, the UBS Future of Finance Challenge and a portfolio of innovative projects in collaboration with business teams across the globe.

Wonmoh Lee is a member of the Group CTO R&D team that evaluates emerging technologies across financial services. His primary area of focus will be in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. He has 15+ years' experience implementing a wide variety of enterprise solutions in Data Science and Statistical Modeling for Fortune 100 firms in the financial services sector.
Wonmoh has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from U.C. Berkeley, and an M.S. in Operations Research from Columbia University.

Sam is the Head of Banking & Equity Plan Advisory Services IT at UBS. He is a senior technology executive, with experience spanning all aspects of software development and global technology infrastructure management. He is knowledgeable in many areas of financial services industry, and enjoys leading enterprise wide engineering projects, with transformational business impacts. He is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and lives in NJ with wife and 2 college aged kids.

Apurva Mehta is the Head of Architecture at UBS Wealth Management Americas, where he has responsibilities for IT architecture and innovation. He joined UBS in 2015, after working in various roles at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Neuberger Berman. Apurva has founded three companies during his career in electronics, pharmaceuticals and consumer products. He has also played an advisory role with two startups.

Omar Moustafa is an Executive Director in Evidence Lab Innovations at UBS. He has over 20 years of experience working in financial services, primarily in Investment research, in various operations and strategy roles focused on client pricing and service optimization models. Prior to joining UBS in 2014, Omar was an Executive Director in Investment Research at Morgan Stanley.

Ashley is the Global Head of Engagement Management for UBS Evidence Lab, responsible for Evidence Lab’s external investor client business. Ashley joined UBS in 2016 in Evidence Lab in New York before moving to Hong Kong in 2017 to develop and grow the Evidence Lab franchise throughout the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining UBS, Ashley was a Fixed Income Strategist at Morgan Stanley, focusing on US Corporate Credit and Global Credit Derivatives from 2007-2015. Prior to joining Research, Ashley was a Structured Credit Trader at Morgan Stanley, and held various earlier roles in the Fixed Income Division.

Vasuki is responsible for senior client relationships as well as the overall delivery of all regulatory and strategic technology initiatives for IB and WMA in the US. Prior to this, Vasuki has held a number of roles in Technology at UBS, including Head of Market Risk Analytics Application Delivery, and Head of Finance & Risk - APAC.
Vasuki holds a BSc and MSc in Computer Science.

Executive Director, Senior Portfolio Manager
Jeremy Raccio is a portfolio manager in the Quantitative Investments team, which is part of Systematic and Index Investments. His primary responsibility is the management of quantitative US equity strategies. Jeremy also plays an active role in the research and development of stock selection models for various equity markets.
Prior to joining UBS Asset Management, Jeremy was a quantitative analyst in the Quantitative Strategies Group at Credit Suisse Asset Management where he was responsible for the development of quantitative stock selection models, portfolio optimization and implementation, and new product development.
Jeremy is a member of the CFA Institute, the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA), and the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA).
Executive Director, Head of IT Research & Business Development, Corporate Center
Scott Ross is the Head of IT Research & Business Development where he is responsible for managing a team that evaluates emerging technologies across financial services. His team runs several lab environments that pilot new technologies, determines potential business benefits, and develops adoption strategies as warranted. In 2019, Scott and his team are focused specifically on disruptive technologies in financial services and the longer term impact to core banking functions. Key areas include AI & Machine Learning, Big Data & Analytics, Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technology, High-Performance Computing, Development Operations, Internet of Things, Intelligent Automation, VR/AR, and Quantum.
Scott has been employed by UBS for over 25 years and has worked on technology projects in CRM, M&A, Sales & Trading and High Performance Computing.
Scott has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, an M.S. in Information Systems from Boston University and an MBA also from Boston University.

Data Science & Methodologies Lead, Artificial Intelligence CoE
Asher has been with UBS since June 2009 working in different lead roles in Investment Bank, Legal & Compliance and Human Resources. In his current position in the AI CoE, he is the Data Science and Methodology lead. Before joining the AI CoE, Asher built and led a team of data scientists focusing on Digital Transformation. Asher holds a BEng in Computer Science from Karunya University, India and holds a Masters in Data Science & Analytics from Royal Holloway University, U.K.
Asher works in solving applied research problems with keen interest and expertise in NLP, NLG, Knowledge Graphs and In-Memory computing systems.
