Your paid internship will last between three and 12 months. You will work as a member of the team and contribute to deliverables in a dynamic environment. Part-time internships are also available, as we understand that you might need time to continue to work on your dissertation as you complete your degree. You may also receive an offer to join us full-time following the program (subject to your commitment and performance along the way).

From the moment you join UBS you will be supported by our welcoming Junior Talent team. They’ll be on hand throughout your internship for anything you might need, along with your line manager and in some cases a buddy who will work more closely with you day-to-day within your local business area.

Over the course of the program, you will create a great network of peers through the many networking opportunities on the internship. We find interns tend to stay in touch with one another long after their internship has concluded.

Along with the skills and relationships you will gain, you’ll get an invaluable hands-on experience of what it would be like to work at UBS as a graduate and insight into what makes us a great place to work. Finally, if you perform well during your internship with us, you can also receive an offer to join our GTP Program following your graduation!

What support will you receive?

Right from the start you will take part in our day-to-day operations and be at the heart of the business. You will work together with experienced colleagues and build up your skills and experience. The length and content of the training you receive will vary depending on the business area you choose to apply to, but the training for each Internship program is specifically designed to ensure that you are fully up to speed with what you need to know.

However, the support doesn’t end once you join your teams. Throughout your time on the internship, you will have the opportunity to attend further interactive, informative sessions to help broaden your skill set. These can vary from enhancing your business knowledge with case studies and business speeches, to networking opportunities with colleagues from across UBS.

Setting you up for success

What are we looking for?

Do you have an interest in experiencing what it’s like to work with one of the world’s leading financial services firms? We welcome students from all degree backgrounds, as we know you’ll bring different perspectives to the table.

You’ll need to have completed at least four semesters of a degree, and will have not graduated more than six months before the program starts.

You’ll need to be on track for a grade of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system (or equivalent).

No matter which business area you choose, you will be able to deepen your knowledge and broaden your skill set.

These roles open on a rolling basis, so check in throughout the year. You may submit a maximum of three applications in total across all our business divisions and Swiss offices during the same academic year.
