Retirement does not equal old
The definition of “old” is changing. It used to be 62, about the time we would retire. Now that we’re living longer, many of us don’t feel old until we’re in our 80s and we lose our independence. In fact, investors tell us that they expect to go through three stages of retirement:
Still working, but in a reduced or different capacity
Focused on travel and leisure
Leading a relaxed, simpler life, eventually focusing on health issues
