About the Foundation
In 1999 the UBS Foundation for Social Issues and Education was set up in the course of the merger of the Union Bank of Switzerland and Swiss Bank Corporation as the successor of the anniversary foundations of SBG and SBV.
Hence, the UBS Foundation for Social Issues and Education has been devoted to the common good in Switzerland for over 60 years. The Foundation backs projects throughout Switzerland for the occupational qualification and labor market integration of people with special needs. The Foundation does not pursue any business interests.
The UBS Foundation for Social Issues and Education is a member of SwissFoundations, the Association of Swiss grant making associations. In all of its activities, it adheres to the "Swiss Foundation Code," which contains recommendations on managing Grant-making foundations.
