If you have any questions about payments, we’re here to help

No need to type in or scan amounts, account or reference numbers.
No invoice is paid without your approval, whether individual or based on the sender.
A digital signature cannot be faked and guarantees the sender’s authenticity.
Not likely. After all, paying bills is more duty than pleasure. Ideally, bills should pay themselves – well, almost. And this is exactly what eBill offers.
eBill invoices land directly where you pay your bills – in Digital Banking. And because they are digital, they save you a lot of work.
The smaller the SME, the more important efficient administration becomes. When paying their invoices, company owners still lose unnecessary time entering or digitizing invoices for filing. Time that you could use for more important, productive tasks.
This is why small businesses in particular benefit from more efficient payment transactions. Of bills that are also paid by themselves. Or almost. And that’s exactly what eBill offers you.
Setting up eBill is almost as fast as paying with eBill. A brief guide:
Registering for eBill
In Digital Banking, click on “Settings” at the top right of your screen, followed by “Overview” -> “eBill invoices” -> “Register for eBill.” Complete your registration by following the steps indicated.
Adding a biller
To benefit from eBill, your vendors must offer eBill, which nearly all large companies in Switzerland already do. So too, do thousands of small and medium-sized companies and therefore many if not most of your suppliers. Under the settings for eBill in your Digital Banking, you will quickly find companies that you wish to pay by eBill in future. If you don’t want to waste any time searching, simply activate the function “Add automatically.” Your vendors will then know that you want to receive eBills.
And it's that easy:
Unlike direct debits or standing orders, eBill invoices are only paid after they are checked and approved for payment.
On every eBill invoice you can see the biller, due date and amount at a glance. As the payment details are already entered for eBill, you need only click to approve the payment.
Under "Payments > transfer and pay invoices" you will find the outstanding invoices under eBill invoices.
You can view your incoming invoices there and approve them quickly and easily with just a few clicks.
If you are not happy with a payment request you can reject it directly in Digital Banking.
In the case of recurring invoices, e.g., from telecom providers or insurance companies, you’ll save time by setting up an automatic standing approval – which can be linked to maximum amounts and other criteria – instead of approving each invoice individually.
Regarding security, every eBill invoice contains a tamper-proof digital signature that guarantees its authenticity. This makes it more secure than invoices sent by post or email. An eBill invoice is only forwarded to your E-Banking once the eBill system has verified this signature.
Personalizing your eBill settings in Digital Banking is just as easy as paying an eBill.
We’ll let you know when a new eBill invoice arrives. In Digital Banking you decide for yourself how you want to be notified, whether by email, text message or push notification, and whether immediately or only via notification in E-Banking.
Under “Settings” > “Mobile Banking” > “Payments», you can set notifications for the receipt of eBill invoices. These can be changed at any time.
Here you’ll also find further options for, e.g., joint management of your eBill mailbox with a person you trust. Where necessary you’ll find support and answers to your questions about eBill here.
Paid eBill invoices are automatically archived in UBS Safe where they are securely stored and cannot be lost. You can access your digital safe deposit box at any time directly from Digital Banking. Naturally, you can also download invoices as PDF files.
eBill is free of charge but saves you a lot of time and hassle. Billers also save – on paper, printing, shipping, postage, etc. As such, eBill creates a classic win-win with benefits for you, the biller and the environment.
