How direct debit payment works

Process
- You need to make regular payments in Swiss francs or euros to payees who don’t change.
- You grant the payee (biller) a debit authorization, allowing them to charge the due amounts directly to your bank account.
- The payee then instructs their financial institution to debit your account with the amounts due according to the agreed frequency.
Requirements for the use of the direct debit system

- A UBS account
- The payee offers direct debit as a payment option
- Signing the authorization to charge the respective payee
