Text lists

When using a list of items make sure you use the function for this that is built into the editor in the CMS. This will ensure that accessible code is entered for lists.

Lists are

important elements of semantic grouping and structuring. They help screen reader users in particular to detect when information is listed and items belong together.
unformatted lists are unclear for screen reader users, and their length cannot be anticipated. A formatted list, on the other hand, is announced by the screen reader as follows: "List with 4 entries ..."

What to avoid

Do not define lists with only one item.

What to check for

Content such as product lists should not only be shown as a list, but also be formatted as a list.
Group links into logical units.
