Key characteristics

  • When a user in a specific country goes to the page ‘ubs.com’, he gets redirected to his specific country homepage.
  • If there is no specific homepage for a country users are redirected to the Global homepage.
  • The global homepage contains basic, high-level content which is not critical from a legal and compliance perspective and can therefore be shown in any country.
  • Geotargeting for pages
    • Allows to define one or multiple countries for which no redirect should be executed.
    • Allows to define one or multiple countries for which requests should be redirect.
  • Geotargeting for components
    • It is possible to allow or disallow showing components on one or multiple countries

Note

The geo-targeting and language detection is applied just once to a single visit of a smartphone user. For follow-up visits the mechanism is applied again.
