How to use it
How to use it
- The following basic rule should be used:
- Use the format jpg
- The resolution in the width should be at least 2360px.
- If an image conveys information useful for interacting with or understanding the web page content, then it needs alternative text.
- If an image is just decorative and people don't need to know about the image, then it should have a blank alt (alt="").
- The following image formats are recommended:
- JPEG
Used for photographs on the web, because they create a small file that is easily loaded on a page. They are not optimal for line drawings, logos or graphics. - PNG
Used almost exclusively for web images. For photographs, PNG is not as good as JPEG, because it creates a larger file. But for images with some text, or line art, it’s better.
Use PNG carefully. Heavy PNG can lead to increased loading times. - GIF
GIFs have a limited color range suitable for the web but not for printing. This format should not be used for photography, because of the limited number of colors. Please do not use animated gifs as they are not recommended from an accessibility point of view.
- JPEG
- By using images, or graphics for ubs.com you ensure that
- UBS owns or has all necessary rights in the material you provide; and
- the uploaded material does not violate any privacy rights or cause injury to any person or entity.
