How it works

  • The arrangement and size of text labels and form elements are driven by the available width for the form.
  • Forms in narrow cells have the label on top of the field and smaller form elements.
  • Forms in wider cells are designed more generously with the labels next to the field and larger sized form elements.
  • In the extra small viewport, all forms have the same ('smartphone') design.

What to avoid

Do not place forms in grid control cells that are narrower than 4/12 of the content width.
